Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 09.00 to 13.00 and 15.00 to 18.00, Saturday 11.00 to 14.00 and 15.00 to 18:00 and we will be delighted to make you welcome.

Admission is €4.00 per person, reduced rate €3.00 for under 18s and over 65s, no charge for children under 6.

Guided tours in Italian and English can be arranged for groups by appointment. Please telephone for details.

GUIDANCE FOR USERS OF THE LIBRARY (ENGLISH)

The Library - Books in the library may be consulted upon request. The following rules must be followed:

1) Consultation of the books can only take place on the premises, it is not a lending library.

2) Readers must have a letter of recommendation from an academic institution or publisher and will be asked to hand over valid ID before access to books is given.

3) No more than 2 books can be consulted at one time

4) Permission from the Director must be given prior to consulting books published before 1900

5) It is not possible to photocopy books published before 1950 and photocopying of more recent books is at the discretion of museum staff who will do the photocopying. It is not possible to photocopy entire books

6) Pencil only may be used

7) Many books are fragile and rare so extreme care must be taken at all times

8) It is ESSENTIAL that you telephone in advance to arrange your first visit.

REGOLAMENTO PER GLI UTENTI DELLA BIBLIOTECA (ITALIANO)

La Biblioteca - I libri possono essere consultati su richiesta, seguendo le seguente regole:

1) Non è una biblioteca circolante. I libri possono essere consultati soltanto nello stabile.

2) Chi volesse consultare i libri della biblioteca dovrà avere con se una lettera di presentazione da parte di istituzione universitaria o casa editrice ecc., ed un documento valido.

3) Non è consentito consultare più di 2 libri per volta

4) Per consultare i libri pubblicati prima del 1900 è necessaria l'autorizzazione della Direzione

5) I libri pubblicati prima del 1950 non possono essere fotocopiati. Sarà possible fotocopiare i libri di pubblicazione più recente, a discrezione della Direzione che eseguirà la fotocopia. In ogni caso, non sarà possible fotocopiare alcun libro per intero

6) E' consentito solamente l'uso di matite

7) Si richiede la massima cura nel maneggiare i libri della biblioteca, in quanto molti di essi sono fragili e rari

8) E' OBBLIGATORIO telefonare in anticipo per fissare un primo appuntamento
